The Challenge
iFAST is a medical diagnostics company tackling one of healthcare's most urgent problems: antibiotic resistance. Traditional susceptibility testing takes over 48 hours, slowing treatment decisions and allowing resistant strains to spread.
Their breakthrough technology cuts that to just 3 hours. But to unlock its full potential, iFAST needed an interface that lab professionals could use safely and confidently under pressure.
We designed the interface that brings iFAST's diagnostic breakthrough to life in the lab.
Outcomes
A guided step-by-step workflow leads users through complex preparation tasks with clarity, reducing human error and improving consistency.
A clean dashboard gives real-time visibility into sample incubation. Results surface in EUCAST-compliant format, ready to export to LIMS systems, fitting into existing lab environments with minimal onboarding.

Project Summary
Since launch, iFAST has achieved ISO 13485 certification, completed pivotal clinical trials, and secured multiple commercial orders with the UK Health Security Agency, including their largest to date.
The interface quietly supports all of it, giving lab technicians a simpler, more intuitive way to work, so tracking sample progress and acting on results takes less effort and more confidence.
